The Workforce Registry system will actively contribute to the Rhode Island Department of Human Services (DHS) by providing a comprehensive understanding of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) landscape. Through the adoption of the tool, data collected will help inform future decisions, highlighting the daily contributions of the ECE workforce.

Licensing System of Record
The Licensing System of Record is The DHS Office of Child Care’s new data system for licensing early childhood programs in the state of Rhode Island. It allows us to have a more streamlined, automated process for licensure for both child care centers and family child care providers, including online applications for licensing and CCAP and online payments.
This system also integrates with the workforce registry, so once a staff member associates with your program or child care, you will be able to access their online licensing file information, making the monitoring process more efficient for both us and providers.
What You Need to Know
The RISES Licensing system of Record will not only provide a comprehensive understanding of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) landscape, but also provide a much more efficient way for providers to maintain licensure. Through the adoption of the tool, licensing system will be more readily available than ever, and processes to change or revise licenses is simple and can be done online.
System Benefits Overview
This system will be a one-stop solution for license renewals and documentation, including but not limited to:
- A provider dashboard where you can access all of the sites that you supervise
- The ability to fill our various types of applications, including renewal, change request, contact information and capacity changes.
- A document library where all the licensure information will be filed online and can be updated at your convenience
- DHS monitoring inspections, where you will have quick access to your monitoring visits
- The ability to print down your license to post at any time.
