The Rhode Island Secretary of State’s office is the official repository of all state agency rules and regulations. All up-to-date DHS rules are filed on the Secretary of State’s (SOS) website. You can search for a specific rule or regulation by date, title or by keyword as well as read them in different languages by going to the SOS website's Final Rules and Regulations Database Search section.
Despite our best efforts to ensure the accuracy of the DHS rules located in both websites, time lags and discrepancies sometimes occur. A paper version of the DHS Rules and Regulations is available on-site at the Rhode Island State Archives Office, 337 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02903.
