Protecting Your Benefits
DHS will never ask for your EBT card number or PIN. To keep your benefits safe, change your PIN frequently, know the signs of a skimming attempt and be alert when you use your card. Learn how to protect your benefits with our fraud prevention resources on the General Resources webpage: https://dhs.ri.gov/general-resources-and-support
RIBridges Updates
The RIBridges system managed by Deloitte is back online for new and existing customers. Please note individuals who received a letter regarding the breach have until April 30, 2025, to be able to sign up for five years of free credit monitoring services through Experian. Customers can take additional steps today to protect themselves including, utilizing credit freezes, fraud alerts, and updating passwords. Any customer who sees suspicious activity on their EBT card should change their PIN. Changing your EBT PIN frequently, before or around the time of benefit issuance, is a fraud prevention best practice to protect your benefits. To change your PIN, call ebtEdge at 1-888-979-9939. Additional instructions on how to protect your benefits can be found here.
