SNAP UPDATE: June 2022 Benefits

Published on Friday, May 20, 2022

Since March of 2020, households receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits have been allotted extra emergency SNAP benefits due to the pandemic. This means households will receive extra benefits that bring them to the maximum amount for their household size or $95, whichever is higher.

Here is a helpful way to know if you are impacted:

  • My household already receives the maximum SNAP amount for our household size (see table below): You will get $95 a month in extra emergency SNAP payments.
  • My household does not get the maximum amount for our household size: You will get the maximum benefit amount for your household size or $95, whichever is higher.

For June 2022, the extra SNAP will come as a supplemental payment on or about June 3rd.
